Q Does the centre have facility to manage medical issues and emergencies?

Yes, the centre is run by a group of medical professionals of various specialities, who will be on-call 24x7, well experienced nursing staff who are well versed in recognising symptoms of emergencies. Lastly we are affiliated with a multi-speciality hospital and 24 hr ambulance services.

Q Who conducts the program? Are they professionals?

Healing is a process where at each stage the patient in our centre is supervised, supported and helped. We have qualified specialist in-house doctors - surgeon, intensivists, physician, support staff - yoga instructor, counsellor, physiotherapist, and other doctor specialists on-call.

Q Is there wheelchair assistance & can I get a wheelchair at the door?

Every effort is made to maintain a supply of wheelchairs at entrance. If you require assistance in transferring in and out of your car or in being transported to your appointment, it is recommended that you ask a family member or a friend to accompany you. Once inside the centre, you can request escort assistance.

Q How do I get to your life care and do you have maps and directions?

Q Do you have parking facility?

We do have parking facility subjected to availability.

Q Who needs a geriatric day care?

Geriatric day care programme is carefully designed by us using a holistic approach in bringing out the maximum effect of oneself, tackling with problems faced by any elderly individual at home and in the society.

Q What are your transport facilities?

Efforts are being made to arrange home pick up and drop.

Q Will food be provided?

Diabetic and hypertensive diet planned meals are available at the centre, however food can be packed and carried from home.

Q Will my routine medications be administered by you?

A detailed medical history and examination will be taken prior to admission, medications can be given by our nursing staff as per your needs, we also have pharmacy facility for purchase of medication at the centre.

Q Can my family stay overnight in my room with me?

Every effort will be made to honour requests for one family member or support person to stay overnight with their loved one, provided it is deemed to be in the best interests of the patient. Family members who wish to stay overnight should notify the healthcare team prior. Every effort will be made to make the stay as comfortable as possible but limited space and resources do not allow for home-like accomodations.

Q What are your visiting hours and are there any age restrictions for visiting?

Visiting hours are daily from 4pm-8pm and on weekends from 12pm-8pm. We do-not have age restrictions but it is advisable to avoid bringing children less than 5 years of age.

Q Can I consult my previous specialist doctor or do I have to see a new specialist in your centre?

You can consult your previous specialist or any doctor of your choice when needed. Keeping the interest of the patients recovery in mind we will adhere to their advice.

Q What are your discharge procedures?

Planning for discharge begins at the time of the admission. The healthcare team will work with the patient and/or family to determine when the patient is ready to go home. Patients are encouraged to arrange for a family member or friend to pick up by the discharge time so that other patients requiring admission can be accommodated.

Q What is the transport facility provided by your centre?

Ambulance service can be requested with prior notification for transportation from and to the centre.

Q Can you accommodate special diets?

We have limited ability to accommodate special diets, but we do provide Diabetic and hypertensive well-balanced and nutritious meals.

Q What is dementia and what are its symptoms?

Dementia is a neurodegenerative progressive disease that causes irreversable damage to the cognitive functioning of the brain affecting memory, learning, orientation, language, comprehension and judgement of an individual making it difficult to cope with day to day living.

Q What is the benefits of the centre towards my disease?

At Dwitiya Life Care we have various planned programs from Meditation to brain stimulation activities which have proven to delay the progression of dementia let alone its occurance.

Q Can I consult my previous psychiatrist or do I have to see a new psychiatrist in your centre?

You can consult your previous psychiatrist or any doctor of your choice when needed. We will adhere to their advice.

Q Who can be admitted in respite care?

Any dependent adult who is medically stable can be admitted for the stipulated time at our centre, while you attend to your personal or social needs in peace.

Q What is the minimum and maximum duration can I leave my family member in your centre?

There is no limit to the duration, it could be 1 day to as many days as required.

Q Will we be able to contact them?

Yes, contact with your loved ones can be maintained by the use of their own regular cell phones or can be contacted via our centre's contact. Video chat facility is provided by our centre on request.
